I'm New to Sheepscombe

St John’s church offers a range of opportunities for regular worship. We try to provide additional opportunities at certain times during the Church year, such as daily evening prayer through Lent. We give all who join us in worship a warm welcome and the opportunity for fellowship.

The church and the school work closely together.  The school comes to church for services they plan. Our church is very central and very visible in the village. We have regular services and the church is open daily.  We have good level access to the building with a car park at the village hall down the hill.  There is a small village school and a popular pub in the village, and a busy village hall. 

The map of Sheepscombe, showing the church, is given below. The Church building is not marked, but is on the western side of the triangle in the centre of the map. There is limited parking, the car park being next to the village hall at the bottom of the hill, but access is level within the church grounds and building.  The village hall is also not shown on the map but is on the Northeast side of the road where it crosses the Painswick Stream, by the bus stops..(Our full address is St John the Apostle Parish Church : Stroud, Sheepscombe, Gloucestershire, GL6 7RF)
